    Purple Giant Hyssop (Agastache scrophulariifolia)
    Mint Family

Purple Giant Hyssop is a long-blooming native perennial valued for its high pollinator value. It produces pale purple flower spikes from mid-summer through fall, offering an important nectar source for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. The plant grows on upright, branched stems with bright green, fragrant leaves. Although it is part of the mint family, it spreads much less aggressively than many of its relatives, making it a manageable choice for gardens and meadow plantings. It grows best in full sun and tolerates a variety of soil types, including poor or rocky soils. Cutting the plant back by half in early summer can encourage shorter, sturdier growth.
