A compact, mat-forming perennial is valued for its bright golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers in late spring through early summer--sometimes with a fall re-bloom. Native to the southeastern U.S., this low-growing cultivar reaches 6-12 inches tall and spreads slowly via rhizomes, creating a dense, evergreen ground cover. Its deep green, spoon-shaped (or mouse-ear shaped) foliage remains attractive through the seasons. It tolerates a wide array of conditions from full sun to part Shade and average to dry soils. Ideal for borders, rock gardens, and naturalized plantings, it provides reliable color and nectar for pollinators.
